Accountant – Automation & Financial Systems

A scale‑up technology company is transforming its Finance function and financial systems landscape. The company is scaling quickly and is looking to implement scalable accounting processes and systems to support continued growth.

They are therefore looking for an experienced accountant with strong financial systems and process automation experience to join their team. You will work on both setting up and delivering accounting processes as well as working on projects to select and implement financial systems and automation tools.

• Accounting according to international accounting standards e.g. IFRS, US GAAP
• GL accounting and accounting operations, AP, AR
• Preparing financial accounts, delivering month‑end / year‑end close activities, supporting financial audit
• Finance business analysis to map as‑is and to‑be accounting processes and establish scalable processes
• Automate finance and accounting processes, leveraging finance automation tools and financial systems e.g. RPA, AI technologies
• Finance process harmonisation and standardisation with a focus on efficiency
• Change management: drive adoption for the new way of working within finance and accounting teams and provide end‑user support

• Experienced accountant with good financial systems experience (systems accountant)
• Hands‑on R2R accounting knowledge including expertise in international standards e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP or similar
• Good experience across financial reporting, consolidation, accounting operations areas
• Experience selecting and implementing tools to automate accounting processes, e.g. SQL, AI tools, process automation (RPA) tools such as Power Automate, UI Path, Blue Prism, Blackline or similar
• Technical skills highly desirable e.g. programming skills in VBA, Access, .NET, Java, SQL or Python and related skills, with a specific focus on developing bots
