Job Title: Field Safety Representative

Location: Martinsville, OH

Start Date: Immediate. 1-2 months

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Safety Representative. The successful candidate will implement and manage health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.

We are looking for a self‑directed, detail‑oriented safety professional with excellent communication and computer skills who thrives in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven construction environment.

• Serve as the primary EHS representative for the project, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and contract requirements.
• Support the project management team with on‑site safety inspections, reporting, and training coordination.
• Conduct and document daily safety inspections of the job site.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date safety logs, incident reports, and OSHA record‑keeping (including injury/illness logs).
• Interface with regulatory agencies such as OSHA as needed.
• Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks to on‑site personnel.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with facility management and subcontractors to ensure alignment with EHS standards.

• Solar field experience.
• OSHA 510 or 500.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital safety platforms.
• Must be able to work independently and manage site safety with minimal supervision.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Familiarity with incident investigation and root cause analysis methods.
• Prior experience coordinating with subcontractors and site leadership on large‑scale builds.
