Schedule: Includes evening and weekend coverage
Reports to: UPA Lab Manager
Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt)
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process.

The Quality Chemist at our Cairo, OH Ultra Pure acid production facility is a key partner in a high performing team, meeting the needs for specialty materials supporting the rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry anticipated to have dynamic growth over the next decade.
This position focuses on initiating and implementing activities that drive measurable continuous improvement in Environmental, Health & Safety, product quality, process stability, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry preferred, or science related field with commensurate experience
- Minimum 1-5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Proficient in all wet lab chemical analyses
- Proficient in all cleanroom operations including sample bottle preparation, standard preparation, ICP-MS tuning, ICP-MS calibration, ICP-MS sample preparation, and ICP-MS analysis
- Attention to detail, adaptability, self‑starter, excellent leadership and communication skills are essential
- Must be able to perform work with minimal supervision to achieve a safe, environmentally sound and reliable operation
- Experience with ISO 9001, RC 14001, or similar management system is preferred
- Basic understanding of Measurement Systems Analysis
- Knowledge of plant operations
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control
- Proficient at SOP Development and Review

- Responsible for conducting and managing routine testing dictated by the quality management systems (including routine quarterly and semi‑annual samples)
- Responsible for using formal document systems to report and distribute analytical results
- Participates in internal ISO audits at Chemtrade Ultra Pure sites
- Maintains chemical and laboratory equipment inventory
- Participates in Lean Six Sigma events for process improvements at UP facilities
