Technical Sales​/Business Development - Water

Our client is committed to providing innovative solutions in the water treatment industry. Their primary focus has been in the oil and gas water management, including sourcing, transferring, storing, and treating water. The company has developed proprietary dissolved air flotation water treatment and separation tank technologies. They also operate disposal facilities and land farms.

Our client is in need of a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Person to drive sales in the water treatment industry, specifically targeting municipal and industrial clients outside of the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on tactician, skilled in understanding customer needs, developing comprehensive proposals, and closing sales. This role requires an individual who is deeply entrenched in the water treatment industry and possesses a proven track record of securing contracts and sales.

• Significant experience in technical sales within the water treatment industry.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the municipal and industrial sectors to expand customer base.
• Ability to navigate both municipal and industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with government bid mechanisms and competitive bidding processes.
• Strong understanding of water treatment equipment, including its attributes, material specifications, and duty requirements.
• Capable of identifying necessary equipment upgrades and effectively communicating these to the engineering team.
• Drive business growth from a technical and sales perspective.
• Support the strategic goal of diversifying the company.
• Proficiency in dissolved air flotation (DAF) water treatment technology.
• Experience selling equipment, projects, and services.
• Experience with high‑tech separation tanks.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields preferred.
• 7+ years of proven record of success in water treatment sales.
• Deep understanding of municipal and industrial water treatment processes, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation is a base salary of $150-$200k, plus commissions, health benefits and 401k plan.
