High Voltage Field Test Technician

Our client, a leading global company in energy infrastructure, is looking for a High Voltage Field Test Technician to join their European team. This role will play a critical part in testing high voltage AC and DC cable systems across Germany.

As a High Voltage Field Test Technician, you will conduct commissioning and maintenance testing on High Voltage and Extra High Voltage AC and DC cable systems in compliance with Industry and International testing standards on client sites.

This role will require travel within Germany to customer sites with travel to other European countries. You will also have time working remotely at your home writing test reports and planning for site visits with your colleagues.

General Accountabilities

• Commissioning and maintenance testing on cable systems.
• The execution of field testing and diagnosis of HV cable systems.
• Development and implementation of new techniques for High Voltage Testing and Diagnosis on HV and EHV AC and DC cable systems.
• The technical analysis of the Partial Discharge Data for OFFLINE commissioning and maintenance testing.
• Carrying out technical analysis of the Partial Discharge Data for ONLINE diagnosis techniques via the use of analysis tools.
• Compiling technical test reports including recommendations based on the analysed test data.

• Preferably attained an Electrical Engineering Diploma or Degree or a similar qualification.
• Understanding of High Voltage Electrical systems
• Can speak German at a conversational level
• Driver's licence.
• Ability to travel.
