Are you ready to take ownership of large scale battery storage projects within a fast growing renewable energy platform?

An established and well capitalised international investor and asset manager in the renewable energy sector is expanding its energy storage footprint and strengthening its in house technical capability. With a substantial European portfolio and an ambitious growth strategy in utility scale battery storage, the business is seeking a senior technical expert to lead complex BESS projects from concept to operation.

This is a high visibility role with direct impact on project execution, technical standards and investment decisions across a growing pipeline of storage assets.

• Direct influence on large scale BESS investments and project outcomes
• End to end technical ownership across development, construction and commissioning
• Exposure to international EPC negotiations and acquisition processes
• A platform actively scaling its battery storage portfolio
• Clear long term progression into broader technical leadership

• Technical leadership for utility scale BESS projects, including system design and engineering oversight
• Full lifecycle responsibility from concept design through construction, commissioning and handover
• On site supervision of installation, cabling and grid integration activities
• Definition and management of FAT, SAT and system validation procedures
• Performance optimisation through modelling, simulations and lifecycle assessments
• Oversight of SCADA systems and optimiser interfaces for real time monitoring and control
• Technical due diligence support for acquisition projects, including risk assessment and compliance review
• Leadership in technical scope definition and contract negotiations with EPC contractors and suppliers

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology or a related discipline
• 4+ years of hands on experience delivering utility scale BESS projects
• Strong knowledge of battery technologies, grid integration and system architecture
• Experience managing construction and commissioning phases
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and performance monitoring tools
• Proven involvement in technical due diligence and contractor negotiations
• Fluent in English, German is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate confidently across technical and commercial stakeholders
