YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Mission:

To end COPV failure in spaceflight. We set the benchmark for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency in composite over wrapped pressure vessels (COPVs). Our products are safety‑critical hardware for spaceflight — where failure is not an option.

Your Role:

As a Winding Engineer, you are responsible for developing, optimizing, and industrializing filament winding processes for aerospace COPVs. Your work directly impacts structural integrity, repeatability, and flight safety.

You operate in an environment where process discipline, data, and accountability matter as much as innovation.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop, qualify, and optimize filament winding processes for composite pressure vessels

  • Define winding parameters (fiber placement, tension, angles, speed) to meet performance and reliability requirements

  • Support process validation, testing, and failure analysis

  • Collaborate closely with design, materials, quality, and test engineering

  • Ensure
    process robustness, repeatability, and manufacturability

  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous process improvement

  • Support scale‑up from development to series production

YOUR PROFILE
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials science
    , or similar
  • At least three years full‑time experience with filament winding and composite manufacturing (aerospace preferred) andserial production
  • Strong understanding of process control, variability, and failure modes
  • Structured, detail‑oriented working style with high ownership
  • Ability to work in a
    zero‑failure, safety‑critical environment
  • Very good English skills, at least B2 German skills
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Personal responsibility & creative freedom: You actively contribute to the further development of our production technologies.
  • Flexible working hours: Work‑life balance is not an empty promise with us.
  • Start‑up spirit meets aerospace: flat hierarchies, short decision‑making processes and room for innovation.
  • Individual benefits: Choose between a Germany ticket, Egym‑Wellpass or a tax‑free benefit in kind with the Give Card. For more benefits have a look on our benefit section on our website.
  • Fresh food every day: Shared lunch break with healthy, varied dishes.
  • Further development guaranteed: You will grow both professionally and personally through exciting projects and exchanges with experts.
  • We live and breathe team culture: whether it's a tech talk, team event or after‑work - we celebrate successes together.
