** Welding*
* ** Application Specialist
** to strengthen our Merchant Gases business. In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with customer-focused solutions to drive growth and innovation.

The main responsibilities would be the following :
* Facilitate in generating new sales for our Merchant gases by carrying out demonstrations of our welding products.
* Increase Customer retention & satisfaction towards Air Products by carrying out appropriate technical stewardship of key accounts.
* Maximize account profitability by promoting our added value products to both customers and prospects.
* Maintain Air Products image as a quality supplier of gases by providing sound technical and safety advice to customers and prospects on all welding and cutting related activities.
* Contribute to the development and introduction of new products for the fabrication market.
* Develop our OEM’s Networking in metal fabrication Business
* Provide Welding training to our Commercial teams
** Qualification required
*** Must be highly proficient in craft skills to be recognized as professional in the welding market.
* International Welding Specialist (IWS) or Technology (IWT) qualifications are considered as advantage for the position. International Welding Engineer profile could be evaluated if practical skills and welding competences are combined with theoretical knowledge.
* Approved apprenticeship and experience in the metal fabrication industry (welding & cutting).
* Demonstrated ability on different types of materials ( Mild steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, etc…) and for different processes (MIG/MAG, TIG, Plasma, lasers,…) & with different gases as described in attached document.
* Up to date knowledge of technology & processes and applications in welding/fabrication sector
* Influencing skills, negotiating skills and sales acumen.
* Highly motivated and self starter with sense for initiatives
* Good interpersonal skills, team player
* PC skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and internal software
** Experience
* ** 5 Years experience as minimum in Welding industry ( references in welding industry to be mentioned), preferably 10 years
* Experience in other metal fabrication companies or suppliers related to welding sector (consumables, welding machines, …)
