You act as the key interface between Development and manufacturing sites, aligning technical, industrial, and commercial requirements. With your expertise, you contribute from the early concept, providing packaging and logistics input across all project stages.

Responsibilities
  • Lead packaging and logistics concept development during quotation and acquisition phases, including feasibility studies, cost modeling, and make‑or‑buy evaluations
  • Develop and validate packaging cost structures (CAPEX/OPEX), covering returnable assets, transport, handling, storage, and lifecycle costs
  • Analyze customer requirements and clarify technical, logistical, and commercial topics in direct customer interaction
  • Define and validate material flows, packaging specifications, line‑side supply concepts, and inventory strategies
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, plants, suppliers, purchasing, and logistics teams to deliver technically and cost‑optimized solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement of packaging standards, costing methods, and planning tools
  • Support SOP and ramp‑up phases, including packaging trials and layout planning
  • Participate in supplier selection and validate packaging solutions with focus on cost, quality, and sustainability
Profile
  • Master’s degree in Logistics, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of relevant experience in packaging engineering, preferably in automotive industry

  • Experience in cost calculations, business cases, and lifecycle costing
  • Familiarity with lean principles and digital planning tools (e.g. CAD, 3D viewers, simulation software, pack assistant)
  • transparent team player, able to convince colleagues about new ideas and able to work autonomously
  • Proactive, hands‑on mindset with the ability to motivate and align the broader team
  • Fluent in English and German, strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to plants, suppliers, and customer sites
