Location: Germany
Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Mechanical Lead to join them on a Data Centre Project in Munich.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead the coordination, installation, and delivery of all mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring safe and efficient execution of works in line with the construction programme.
- Review mechanical design drawings and specifications, identifying clashes or technical issues, and liaise with the design team and consultants to resolve them.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of key systems such as HVAC, chilled water, DX/CRAC units, pipework, valves, pumps, and fire suppression systems.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g. ASHRAE, CIBSE), and local regulations, and are delivered to client expectations.
- Plan and supervise testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, and handover documentation.
- Coordinate closely with electrical and CSA leads to ensure full MEP integration, resolving coordination issues through BIM and site-based collaboration.
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring all RAMS, permits, and risk controls are in place and actively monitored.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant area.
- Experience in the delivery of a Data Centre project.
- A solid understanding of procurement, scheduling, programming, and sequencing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
