The business unit Wurth Electronics Midcom, a US based company with its European headquarters in Germany, is focused on the design and manufacture of custom magnetics.

For Würth Elektronik Midcom Inc. we are looking for you to join our team in full-time (40 hours) as a Product Development Engineer (m/f/d) in München.

You have both: technical expertise and an eye for product optimisation! You have a feel for our customers' needs and implement them while taking quality and safety standards into account. As a product development engineer, you are responsible for our customer‑specific passive components throughout the entire product life cycle. • Understanding technology: Understanding of safety standards to support customer needs and to design accordingly
• Sharing expertise: Provide technical support to sales, manufacturing and quality departments
• Creating new things: Design customized magnetics (Power Transformers, Inductors, Power supply etc.) to meet the specification under producibility criteria and cost effectiveness
• Working strategically: Responsibility for the product throughout the entire life cycle (design to end of life)
• Unfolding synergies: Work in a multidisciplinary team to provide solutions under quality aspects

• Basics: University degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Technology, Physics, Physical Engineering or equivalent, work experience is an advantage
• Knowledge: Experience in the field of power supply and power electronics development
• Passion: Interest of design and development of customized magnetics
• Communication: Fluent English written and verbal is a must, German is an advantage
• Strengths: Customer oriented way of working, ability to work in a team as well as structured and independent way of working and hands‑on mentality
