Overview
Maintenance Electrical Engineer - TIMET, Toronto Ohio location
Responsible for electrical maintenance engineering activities to maximize safety, quality and productivity in the daily maintenance of plant equipment in order to drive continuous improvements to equipment availability and throughput.
Responsibilities- Electrical safety design modifications and improvements to equipment and facilities.
- Electrical safety investigations and corrective actions.
- Developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance programs to support improved equipment availability and throughput.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment failures and loss of production; assist maintenance and provide technical guidance to return equipment to operation to minimize downtime; provide on‑call support.
- Supervise and schedule daily work for plant electronic technicians.
- Analyze production delay data to establish/modify preventive maintenance tasks and generate continuous improvement projects based on delay data.
- Prepare and review equipment failure/root cause analysis reports; determine and evaluate corrective actions and their impact on preventive maintenance programs.
- Develop cost justifications for improvement projects and corrective actions.
- Develop work orders to detail requests needed to implement improvement projects or corrective actions; follow up and audit for proper completion.
- Coordinate outside contractor work activities with maintenance or production personnel to minimize impacts to cost and production.
- Responsible for critical spare parts assessments and parts standardization.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, training, and skill development for electricians and electronic technicians.
- Determine and install appropriate performance metrics to promote long‑term continuous improvement aligned with department objectives.
- Support problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and better working relationships.
- Perform Project Engineering duties.
- Fill in for Supervisors or Department Manager as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Formal training or experience with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.
- Maintenance Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor position with a minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience.
