Overview

Consider joining the Pennex family as an Engineering Coordinator in our Leetonia, OH location. The Engineering Data Coordinatorisresponsibleforcoordinating ,validating, andmaintainingengineering data used to supportaccuratequoting and manufacturing execution.

This position owns the creation and maintenance of product master data withinan Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP)
System (Microsoft Dynamics 365, D-365), including bills of materials (BOMs) and routings, and ensures that engineering, costing, and operational inputs are complete, accurate, and aligned for new and existing products.

Responsibilities

Engineering Data & D365 Master Data Management

  • Creates,maintains, andvalidatesproduct master data within the ERP, including but not limited to:
    • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    • Routings and operation sequences
    • Work centers and labor standards
  • Ensures accuracy, consistency, and proper structure of engineering and manufacturing data across the ERP and supporting documentation.
  • Processes andmaintainsengineering changes affecting product structure,routings, andcostimpactingdata in ERP.
  • Serves as asubject matter resource for engineering related master data within the ERP.

Costing & Quotation Support

  • Coordinates the collection of engineering inputs required to supportaccuratenew product quotations.
  • Ensures BOMs, routings, and labor standard sin the ERPsupportreliable cost rollups.
  • Partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to resolve data gaps or discrepancies affecting cost and quote accuracy.
  • Supports standard costing updates and costing assumptions as required.

Cross Functional Coordination

  • Acts as a liaison between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensuretimelyandaccuratedata for quoting and production readiness.
  • Supports new product introduction (NPI) activities by preparing andvalidatingrequired ERP master data prior to release.
  • Responds to internal requests related to product structure, costing,routings, and manufacturing feasibility.

Data Governance and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain data quality standards and best practices for engineering and manufacturing master data within the ERP system.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and workflow related to ERP processes.
  • Supports audits, reporting, and documentation related to engineering data, costing, and ERP master data governance.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field(Engineering Technology, Business Management, or related) is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:

  • Two or more yearsofexperience using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment required.

    Microsoft Dynamics
    365 is preferred
  • Working knowledge of BOMs,routings and manufacturing processes,and product costing fundamentals required
