Freelance – Hardware Verification Engineer
About the RoleOur client based in Saxony is seeking multiple experienced Hardware Verification Engineers to support advanced semiconductor development projects within a fast‑paced R&D environment. You will work on cutting‑edge integrated circuit designs, contributing to pre‑silicon verification, validation tooling, and robust sign‑off processes essential for high‑reliability semiconductor products.
- Develop, implement, and maintain verification environments for complex digital and mixed‑signal hardware modules.
- Create test benches, automated test suites, and verification plans using industry‑standard methodologies.
- Perform simulation, debugging, waveform analysis, and constraint‑driven test generation.
- Collaborate closely with chip architects, RTL designers, and lab engineers to ensure functional correctness and design robustness.
- Support coverage analysis, root‑cause investigations, and verification reviews throughout multiple project phases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification frameworks, tooling, and workflow automation.
- Proven experience in hardware verification for semiconductor or microelectronics development.
- Strong skills with System Verilog, UVM, or comparable verification methodologies.
- Experience using simulation tools, formal verification techniques, and debugging environments.
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, RTL concepts, and SoC/ASIC development flows.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL for automation.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Background in mixed‑signal verification or FPGA prototyping.
- Knowledge of power‑management ICs, sensor interfaces, or RF subsystems.
- Understanding of hardware safety and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO‑based flows).
