We're looking for a Senior Design Engineer with strong experience in electrical or mechanical design-especially in renewable energy systems-to join our growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems and supporting projects from concept to completion.

What You'll DoSenior Design Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Design Engineer with strong experience in electrical or mechanical design-especially in renewable energy systems-to join our growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems and supporting projects from concept to completion.

What You'll DoLead and review engineering deliverables-drawings, schematics, energy models, calculations, and schedules-for PV systems (500 kW to 20 MW).
Support projects through every phase: development, design, construction, and post-build documentation.
Conduct site assessments and contribute to conceptual designs and modeling for new opportunities.
Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure designs meet safety standards (OSHA), local codes (NEC), and company best practices.
Help integrate new tools, technologies, products, and design processes.
Support business development by identifying design risks and optimizing project outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
7+ years of relevant experience (includes commercial, industrial and/or utility scale PV system design).
Familiarity with AutoCAD, PV modeling software, and energy design tools.
Strong understanding of NEC and other applicable codes.
FE certification required; PE license and NABCEP certification preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills-you're comfortable translating technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
