Project Engineer

Maker's Pride – Project Engineer (Locations: McComb, OH or Michigan City, IN; Travel up to 50% in the U.S.)

Responsible for scenario analysis, scope development, project planning (budgeting and timelines), project implementation, and commercialization of new or modified food‑manufacturing equipment lines. The role includes mechanical, electrical, process, and packaging equipment installation, contractor management, documentation, and reporting for capital projects.

• Support assigned plants with development, submission, and execution of capital projects.
• Participate in OQI (quoting) meetings with plants and provide scope of work (SOW) documents and capital estimates.
• Develop line layout drawings (AutoCAD) for new lines or modifications to existing lines.
• Manage contractors during execution of capital projects.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for active capital projects, including weekly status updates, cash‑flow reporting, and budget tracking.
• Train personnel on equipment operation and troubleshooting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in project engineering and 3+ years in project management.
• 3+ years with AutoCAD and food‑manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including VFDs, servos, high/low voltage troubleshooting, ladder logic, and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD, Visio, and CMMS.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication, coaching/mentoring, financial analysis, and scheduling (Gantt chart) skills.
• Travel up to 50% across the U.S.; relocation not available for this opportunity.
