We are seeking for an experienced Project Manager in Balkan Region with the following criteria:

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional services and support to the Client, including:
  • Offering recommendations and advice during negotiations with prospective Works Contractors.
  • Reviewing Contractors’ submitted Statements at the end of each payment period and preparing and issuing Interim Payment Certificates.
  • Reviewing Draft Final Statements and preparing and issuing Final Statements.
  • Ensuring that all required approvals, permits, and opinions from competent authorities are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with representatives of ministries, state authorities, city administration, local authorities, and other stakeholders affected by the works.
  • Coordinate the activities of the project team, Contractors, and the Client’s teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from project commencement through the end of the Defect Notification Periods (DNPs).
  • Ensure that the project team performs:
  • Technical control and review of design documentation prepared for Construction Permit purposes.
  • Review and approval of Designs for Construction.
  • Implement quality management system procedures and assume responsibility for all construction activities.
  • Coordinate the execution of all Works Contracts, ensuring proper synchronization between Contractors and timely exchange of all required information.
  • Organize and lead the project team to continuously monitor the progress of civil works and systems works in accordance with approved Works Contracts, plans, and schedules.
  • Review, verify, and approve Contractors’ proposed schedules to ensure alignment with approved project documentation and contractual timelines.
  • Ensure that Contractors receive timely instructions, recommendations, approvals, and decisions to prevent delays and mitigate claims.
  • Initiate, plan, and chair meetings with the Client and Contractors, and prepare, review, and approve minutes of meetings.
  • Organize the project team, in cooperation with Contractors, to develop operation and maintenance manuals, rulebooks, regulations, and instructions for all system components, and ensure their delivery to the Client.
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for system verification, including weekly and monthly progress reports, as well as the final completion report.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience as a Project Manager on Metro projects, with an individual investment value exceeding €1 billion per project. Only periods of engagement in the role of Project Manager or Team Leader on contracts of this scale will be considered.
  • At least 15 years of overall professional experience in Project Management and/or Construction Supervision within the railway or metro environment.
  • A University Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated experience in Metro railway projects is mandatory.
  • Experience with FIDIC contracts is considered an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in standard office software and relevant technical tools, such as AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software.
