Our client is seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead their engineering function within a manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in driving cost efficiencies, optimizing processes, and enhancing equipment initiatives in collaboration with Quality and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and evaluation of manufacturing methods to enhance plant capabilities and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Design and implement optimal equipment and workspace layouts through analysis of workflow, space utilization, and staffing.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to ensure efficient and safe product design and facility layout.
  • Oversee new equipment requirements, installation, and validation to meet contract specifications.
  • Manage projects related to new products, process improvements, or facility enhancements using defined methodologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and justifications aligned with operational, financial, and strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Promote a safe, organized work environment, adhering to safety policies and protective equipment requirements.
Key Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of manufacturing experience in engineering or a related technical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven leadership experience with a hands‑on approach.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Detail‑oriented, process‑oriented, and capable of multitasking in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shift schedules as needed.
