Project Engineer, Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will provide leadership and direction for the successful execution of capital projects at one or multiple facilities. You will manage projects that align with business strategies, follow structured guidelines, and deliver the highest value asset allocation possible. You will grow and develop engineering capital project management competencies while leading project teams to deliver results.

• You will lead single or multiple projects simultaneously, depending on size, location, and complexity.
• You will communicate and coordinate with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, EHS, and RQI.
• You will interact externally with equipment vendors, construction contractors, engineering service providers, government agencies, and co-manufacturers.
• You will manage small design teams of 6–8 engineering professionals (internal and consulting engineers).
• You will oversee projects ranging from $100K to $2MM or larger, ensuring alignment with structured engineering workflow processes.
• You will ensure accurate planning, deliverables, reporting, and spending forecasts while meeting cost, schedule, and performance criteria.
• You will independently manage projects from development through completion and engage stakeholders to deliver business value.

• BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience leading projects from start to finish.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Experience in project management within a manufacturing environment required; food processing or pharmaceutical experience considered.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay Range: $63,000-$93,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
