Tata Elxsi works with leading OEMs and suppliers in the automotive & transportation industries for R&D, Design and Product Engineering Services, right from architecture to launch and beyond. We bring together technologies that accelerate development & testing of connected autonomous and electric cars & off-highway vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate customer requirements and emerging market trends into detailed technical specifications for electrified powertrain features.
- Oversee the design, development, and validation of propulsion systems, including:
- Energy management strategies
- Torque delivery mechanisms
- Drive mode functionalities
- Manage and mentor system engineers to derive system-level requirements from technical specifications and ensure alignment with overall vehicle architecture.
- Work closely with hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams to ensure cohesive system performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system requirements, validation results, and technical decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Strong understanding of energy management, torque control, and drive mode strategies.
- Experience in managing engineering teams and system-level requirement derivation.
- Native German speaker or EU citizenship.
- German language proficiency at C1 level or higher (mandatory).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with automotive standards and safety regulations (ISO 26262, ASPICE).
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
