Engineer Field Service (f/m/d)

Remote – Germany. The role is based at Sur Tec Deutschland GmbH with travel to Southern Germany/Bavaria region as required.

- Technical and commercial support of existing customers as well as acquisition of new customers following targeted training in the Southern Germany / Bavaria region.
- Support and implementation of technical projects for new and existing customers (e.g. system audits, commissioning support) in close cooperation with Sales and Project Management.
- Execution of application‑related technical tasks in the fields of decorative electroplating and Plating on Plastics (POP).
- Independent support as a Process Engineer for renowned OEMs and other key accounts in Southern Germany.
- Organization and delivery of customer trainings in coordination with the Sales team.
- Creation and further development of technical documentation (e.g. troubleshooting lists) in collaboration with the Technical Center.
- Handling of administrative tasks such as service reports, lab requests, and complaints.
- Identification and communication of optimization potential in processes and their documentation.
- Completed training as an electroplating technician or a degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable field.
- At least two years of professional experience in application technology or process optimization, ideally in surface technology. Prior knowledge in decorative electroplating and plating on plastics is desirable.
- Strong technical competence combined with solution‑oriented thinking and a high willingness to learn.
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
- Strong communication skills, confident appearance in customer interactions, and ability to work well in a team.
- High self‑motivation, flexibility, as well as a careful and resilient work style with perseverance.
- Proficient in CRM systems and common MS Office applications.
