This firm is looking to grow their team of highly skilled engineers and project managers to meet the increasing demand for solar power.

Description

Our client is seeking a motivated engineer with 10+ years of experience for a full-time position as Senior Project Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager will supervise the construction of small-scale utility solar farms leading a team of site superintendents and sub-contractors. Working as an integral part of a knowledgeable and experienced team, the candidate will be involved in all aspects of solar project management and engineering.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or educational background in engineering
  • Interested in sustainability and solar energy
  • Experience in construction and project management, preferably in solar or energy sector
  • High level of attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Understanding of Main Project Agreements such as lease, EPC agreement, interconnection and power purchase agreement and translating those into the project plan
Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for project success
  • Manage the internal project team, vendors and consultants.
  • Supervise procurement of equipment, materials and sub-contracts.
  • Coordinate design with engineering and procurement specialists.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships; supervise and prepare sub-contracts and purchase agreements
  • Communicate effectively with both internal team members and external customers. Serve as primary point of contact with client project team.
  • Supervise the preparation of project documentation and required submittals to customers and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Create and track schedule and budget, prepare project plan
  • Communicate customer needs with the engineering team and participate in value engineering the project based on contract requirements
