Industrial electrician – Industrial engineering

Industrial electricians specializing in industrial engineering assemble and connect electrical equipment. They measure and analyze electrical systems and assess their safety. They also maintain the equipment and systems.

• You will learn how to assemble and disassemble components and assemblies
• You will be taught methods for measuring, analyzing and calculating electrical quantities
• You will gain a comprehensive insight into the hazards arising from the operation of electrical equipment and systems and how to ensure safe use through protective measures.
• You will learn how to set up, align, fasten and connect machines, devices, drive systems and other operating equipment
• You will assemble communication cables and connect components
• You will learn how to test and analyze the function of control systems
• You will learn how to test emergency stop and alarm systems and mechanical safety devices
• Certificate of lower secondary education (Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate school certificate (mittlere Reife)
• Interest in technical processes
