MissionThe Algorithm Development Engineer will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced algorithms for sensor-based applications, with a focus on optical and Time-of-Flight (ToF) technologies. The engineer will drive the full lifecycle of algorithm development—from data exploration and modeling to prototyping, optimization, and integration into real-world systems. This role combines scientific rigor with engineering execution, contributing to the performance, reliability, and scalability of next-generation sensing platforms.
ResponsibilitiesAlgorithm Design and Validation
- Design, implement, and validate signal and data processing algorithms for optical and ToF sensor systems.
- Apply statistical modeling, numerical analysis, and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful information from sensor data.
- Optimize algorithms for real-time performance, scalability, and deployment in embedded environments.
- Perform exploratory and statistical analysis of complex datasets (large and small).
- Develop simulation environments and testing procedures to evaluate algorithm robustness and system behavior.
- Support cross-functional teams in translating application requirements into functional algorithmic solutions.
- Document algorithmic assumptions, methodology, and results to ensure reproducibility and maintainability.
- Contribute to porting and optimizing algorithms in C/C++ for embedded platforms (if applicable).
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in algorithm development, data analysis, or applied research.
- Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for algorithm development, simulation, and data processing.
- Strong background in statistical methods, signal processing, and numerical computing.
- Experience working with diverse datasets and sensor data, including Time-of-Flight systems.
