Job Title: Space Planner

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (M5H 1J8) Hybrid

Duration: 12 Months, possible extension

Pay Rate: CA $48/hr

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Space Planner to support occupancy and workplace planning across its Americas real estate portfolio (excluding corporate headquarters). This role focuses on optimizing space utilization, forecasting demand, and supporting hybrid workplace strategies. You will be part of the Enterprise Management Resources (EMR) team and report to the Global Space Planning Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide space and occupancy planning support for Canada and Americas locations
  • Analyze current and future space needs based on headcount forecasts and business requirements
  • Develop space scenarios, test fits, and utilization studies using IWMS tools and AutoCAD (as applicable)
  • Coordinate and execute Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC), relocations, and restacks with stakeholders and vendors
  • Maintain accurate space data, occupancy plans, and reporting dashboards
  • Prepare and deliver recurring and ad-hoc occupancy and allocation reports
  • Support the development and improvement of space planning standards and workplace strategies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business goals, timelines, and budgets
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • 5-7 years of corporate real estate experience in a large/global organization, including hands‑on space planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Working knowledge of IWMS/CAFM tools (e.g., Archibus, TRIRIGA, FM:

    Systems);
    AutoCAD is a plus
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to interpret floor plans and space data
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage both tactical execution and strategic planning in a fast‑paced environment
