Your RoleWe are seeking a motivated EHS Specialist that can facilitate the integration process of the Essilor Luxottica Group EHS management systems in the Barberini GmbH plant and i mplement the Essilor Luxottica Group EHS guidelines and directives in the Barberini GmbH plant, in line with what has been agreed with the relevant EHS Manager.
Main Responsibilities- Monitor and report EHS performance using Essilor Luxottica management systems, including injuries, near misses, first aid cases, and unsafe actions/conditions.
- Maintain and continuously update general and specific risk assessments in compliance with local legislation.
- Participate in root cause analyses (5W) related to incidents, near misses, and first aid cases.
- Support EHS coordination meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Barberini GmbH, Schott AG, and Corporate EHS).
- Conduct EHS inspections within production departments and ensure follow-up of action plans.
- Collect and manage EHS KPIs and dashboards, including reporting through Gensuite and presentation at factory-level meetings.
- Manage chemical safety activities, including MSDS updates and the introduction of new chemical products in compliance with group procedures.
- Coordinate PPE selection, distribution, and compliance according to risk assessments and safety requirements.
- Support environmental data collection and reporting (waste, energy, water, emissions) in collaboration with environmental managers.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, reporting, and sharing EHS preventive and improvement actions at local and global level.
- Good knowledge of SAP and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong knowledge of German health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Familiarity with reporting tools for Near Misses, First Aid, Unsafe Actions, and Unsafe Conditions.
