RISE stands for Research Internships in Science and Engineering. RISE Germany offers undergraduate students from North American, British, and Irish universities the opportunity to complete a summer research internship at top German universities and research institutions. Additionally, RISE Germany is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

Who can Apply For The Fully Funded Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) 2025 in Germany?

Also, applicants must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Open to students from North America, the UK, and Ireland.
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate students in science, technology, and engineering.
  • Must have completed at least two years of study by the start of the internship.
  • Strong academic performance, with a focus on research potential and relevant coursework.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is not necessary but can be beneficial.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time internship in Germany for a period of 10 to 12 weeks.
  • Strong motivation to gain international research experience in Germany.
