Chemistry Teacher

Overview

Greeneview High School is looking for a High School Chemistry Teacher. A comprehensive science (7-12) license is preferred. This position will teach General Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. Depending upon enrollment, other classes may be assigned—including teaching a science elective, providing science and/or math intervention in our Bridge Alternative Program, and/or a duty period.

• The ability to effectively plan and teach lessons that support and extend the New State Learning Standards and meet the needs of all learners
• The ability to make and carry out long-range instructional and program planning
• An understanding of best practices for quality instruction and student achievement
• The ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate learners with multiple ability levels in the regular classroom and small group settings
• The ability and willingness to work as part of a team of classroom teachers and administrators to plan how to best meet the needs of students
• The ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and teachers
• The ability to keep accurate and thorough records
• A record of consistently managing paperwork and handling work assignments in a timely manner
