Wauseon Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sixth Grade Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities

* Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.

* Facilitate engaging classroom activities that encourage student participation and collaboration.

* Assess and evaluate student performance through regular testing, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.

* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic achievements and areas for growth.

* Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and a love for learning.

* Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.

* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.

* Support students in developing study skills and strategies to enhance their mathematical understanding and confidence.

* Assist in the preparation and supervision of school events, including math-related competitions and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

* Valid teaching license or certification for middle school mathematics.

* Proven experience in teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
