Starting Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on experience plus $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and Flexible Lifestyle Perks. Environment:

As an Intervention Specialist, you will lead the instructional process for students in Grades K-12 with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), designing personalized learning experiences within the learning center and/or classroom. Your role includes delivering targeted instruction, using innovative curriculum resources, integrating educational software, and creating lesson plans and schedules tailored to the diverse needs of each student in alignment with state and school standards.
Responsibilities- Create an inclusive, collaborative environment involving students, parents, colleagues, and administrators in the educational process.
- Establish a classroom climate with mutual respect, fairness, and clear expectations; emphasize social development, personal accountability, and positive group interactions by modeling PBIS.
- Implement and reinforce school-wide and classroom PBIS strategies, behavior expectations, reward systems, and appropriate consequences.
- Track and document student progress, maintain accurate files, and generate reports detailing student achievements and activities.
- Deliver differentiated instruction individually or in a co-teaching environment to meet IEP goals.
- Adapt curricular content and instructional approaches for diverse learning styles; provide guidance on differentiation methods.
- Use varied instructional methods and educational software to support diverse student needs and interests.
- Manage student caseload responsibilities, develop and implement IEPs, goals, and interventions.
- Prepare detailed daily lesson plans and organize instructional materials that align with curriculum standards and student objectives.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environment and manage supplies and resources.
- Stay informed on current research-based instructional practices in special education to enhance effectiveness.
- Respond to feedback from evaluations and observations; pursue ongoing professional growth.
- Support the school community by performing additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, special education, or a related field.
- Licensed or in the process of obtaining one or more Ohio teaching credentials:
Intervention Specialist - Mild/Moderate Educational Needs (K-12);
Intervention Specialist - Moderate/Intensive Educational Needs (K-12);
Primary Intervention Specialist (PK-5). - Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company-approved crisis management training.
- Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in a special education or behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education services and compliance for students with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism, and related disabilities.
- Experience with IEPs and evidence-based planning for diverse needs.
- Strong communication, organization, problem solving, and decision-making skills; ability to think and act quickly in emergencies.
- Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, educational software, and data entry.
