Operated by the GCESC, the Preschool Program is located in Bellbrook and serves children ages 3–5. The program includes 50% students with disabilities and 50% without. Hours are 8:00–3:00, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (no school on Wednesdays) during the school year.

• Meet one of the following:
  Associate’s Degree or higher, 48 semester hours, or a passing score on the State Board of Education Para Pro Assessment
• Valid Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit
• Experience and/or training with preschool-aged students is a plus but not mandatory
• Experience working with children with special needs and/or visual impairments is a plus but not mandatory
• Meet legal requirements for a criminal background check
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record and punctuality

• Assist teacher and other preschool staff working with children ages 3–5 in a small preschool setting that accommodates children with special needs
• Assist preschool-aged children with daily tasks, routines, picture schedules, work
• Take teacher direction and implement assigned tasks into daily routines
• Collaborate with preschool staff to provide a multidisciplinary team approach
• Work collaboratively with teacher in the best interest of children
• Meet preschool licensure laws with PD hours and develop an OCCRRA account
• Be trained or willing to be trained in Communicable Disease, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, CPR, and CPI
• Duties may require lifting, carrying, standing, reaching, bending, crouching, and/or kneeling
• Duties may include diapering or potty training and assisting with personal care tasks; assistance with low-vision needs as directed by school nurse and/or visual impairment specialist
• Maintain an updated physical every 3 years
• Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases
• Potential for interaction with disruptive and/or unruly children

In accordance with the GCESC salary schedule; starting salary begins around $17+ per hour and commensurates with training and experience.
