Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the instructor performs instructional services by developing course outcomes and curriculum consistent with academic policies, conveying expectations to students, organizing instructional activities, using learner‑centered methods, evaluating student learning, maintaining records, submitting grades on time, and participating in the college evaluation system.

Assists with development of course outcomes and curriculum, organizes and manages instructional activities, uses appropriate learner‑centered instructional methods, provides evaluation methods appropriate to stated outcomes, evaluates student learning fairly, posts and maintains adequate office hours, maintains accurate records of evaluation and coursework including attendance, submits grades on time, seeks feedback on course delivery, participates in the college evaluation system of instructional services, revises and updates courses regularly, contributes to assessment of student academic achievement, works cooperatively with others to accomplish department goals, and maintains a safe working area and conditions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Networking or a related field, accredited by a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
• Maintain course standards set by the Cybersecurity Program.
• Evidence of professional development in the field, demonstrated by activity in professional associations, consultative practice, participation in seminars, workshops, and formal coursework, and individual reading and research.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong technology skills including usage of email, student information system, and learning management system.
• Organizational, record‑keeping, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the subject area, educational theory, and application.
• Knowledge of learners and individual learning styles.
• Interest in and commitment to the learner‑centered educational process.
• Educational technology skills.
• Confidentiality and a caring attitude toward students.
• Learning and self‑motivation skills; willingness to extend oneself to help students succeed.
• Knowledge of college resources available to students, organizational structure, and current programs, objectives, and requirements.
• Openness to suggestions for improvement, attention to detail, flexibility in dealing with others, ability to work as a team member, ability to prioritize work, and alignment with Hocking College and Academic Affairs mission, goals, and values.
