Overview
Private Pathology Practiceis seeking full-time pathologists for our evolving practice. We are the largest private pathology group in Dayton, Ohio with 13 pathologists, providing services for a tertiary care 900+ bed level 1 trauma hospital, multiple smaller regional hospitals, independent GI/GU/Heme labs and a large outreach clinical laboratory. We are the exclusive providers for Premier Health Partners and Compu Net Clinical Laboratories.
We have an extremely robust Hematopathology practice and immunohistochemistry department. We also perform molecular studies, including FISH and PCR, for hematologic and solid tumors. We also have a strong collaborative effort with our radiology team for CT/US guided biopsies for work-up of malignancies.
- Handle surgical pathology cases, frozen sections, quick assessments/immediate reads (CT and US guided biopsies, navigational lung biopsies, EBUS, and EUS).
- Cytopathology cases include pap smears, non-gyns, and FNAs.
- Clinical laboratory duties include interpretation of peripheral blood smears, hemoglobin electrophoresis, SPEP, and UPEP.
- Call responsibilities include frozen sections and general clinical laboratory.
- We do not perform autopsies.
- Rotate and provide medical directorships as well as sign out responsibilities throughout the various locations.
- Attend and present cases at multispecialty conferences including breast, lung, head and neck, neuro-oncology, gynecologic oncology, and hepatobiliary oncology as well as general tumor boards.
- Take active roles in hospital committees throughout the Premier Health system.
- AP/CP BE/BC, hold or be eligible for an Ohio license, and be a permanent resident or US citizen.
