Join Holzer s Meigs, Gallipolis, and Jackson Emergency Departments as a Locum Physician and make a difference where it matters most. This vital position offers the chance to utilize your expertise in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality emergency care across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include managing patient care in busy EDs, including trauma codes, documentation, and collaboration with hospital teams. You will cover night shifts and weekends, with a commitment of at least 5, ideally 8-10 shifts per month, ensuring continuous, competent emergency care for diverse patient populations. The start date is as soon as credentialed, approximately 45-60 days from application.

Hourly Pay Rate: $273.00

Required Skills:

• Valid ABMS or AOA board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Proven experience in emergency medicine, critical codes management, and patient documentation.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience working in free-standing EDs or similar settings.
• Additional certifications in trauma or advanced emergency procedures.
• Familiarity with the specific protocols and workflows of Holzer-affiliated EDs.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine practice preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in managing a wide range of emergency cases.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work night shifts and weekends.
• Must be able to start as soon as credentialed, with a minimum of 45-60 days for processing.
• All travel arrangements to be booked by OVP; no overtime paid.
• Provider is responsible for own documentation and codes management.
• Medical staff fees are not reimbursed; physician conversion fee cap between $18K $20K.
