Physician Occupational Health

Overview

Physician Occupational Health – Dayton, Ohio. Under the general supervision of the Occupational Health Medical Director, the physician serves in a leadership role to direct and coordinate all clinical services involving professional and medical judgment. The physician provides direct patient care, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational injuries or illnesses. Must work collaboratively with company representatives to assist in timely return to work.

Responsible for performing physical exam assessments, including DOT exams, Pension Board Physicals, and other company‑requested specialty physicals. Responsible to provide Medical Review Officer service.

• Direct patient care, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational injuries or illnesses.
• Collaborate with company representatives to assist in timely return to work.
• Perform physical exam assessments, including DOT exams, Pension Board Physicals, and other company‑requested specialty physicals.
• Provide Medical Review Officer (MRO) services.

• Education:
  
  Medical Doctorate degree (MD or equivalent).
• Licensure/Certification:
  Medical License;
  Medical Review Officer Certification; CDME (Commercial Driver Medical Examiner Certification).
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3–5 years of job-related experience.
• Prior job title or occupational/Urgent Care experience:
  Preferred.
• Other requirements: CDME and MRO certifications as noted.
