Position Purpose
Support the Facilities Department in various hands-on projects including construction, demolition, general maintenance, and office relocations. This role helps maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming campus environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the construction of new campus buildings or updates to existing structures
- Performing basic facility maintenance tasks under supervision
- Helping with demolition work and site clean-up
- Assisting in the relocation and disposal of office furniture and construction materials
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe at all times
- Following all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be enrolled as a student at Hocking College
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Dress Code
To ensure safety and professionalism on the job site, the following attire is required at all times:
- Closed-toe shoes (work boots or sturdy shoes preferred)
- Work trousers (no shorts allowed)
- Appropriate work shirts (no tank tops or sleeveless shirts)
