Your role

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) for analyze & realize GmbH and the broader Biofortis Group.

You will be responsible for generating new business across the Group’s service portfolio, with equal strategic importance placed on classical CRO services and CSI consulting services (Consulting Services International).Acting as a commercial ambassador of the Biofortis Group in the DACH market, you will identify opportunities, build long-term client relationships, and translate complex scientific and regulatory topics into clear commercial value.

You will work closely with Group-level BD colleagues as well as Consulting (CSI) and Clinical Operations (Clin Ops) teams to convert opportunities into sustainable growth.

What you will do
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the DACH Pharma and Consumer Health markets for the Biofortis Group
  • Proactively acquire new Pharma and Biotech clients for classical CRO services (clinical trial execution, study management, clinical operations support)
  • Proactively acquire new consulting mandates for the CSI Group (regulatory, scientific, and strategic advisory services)
  • Position CRO and CSI capabilities equally as core growth pillars of the Biofortis Group in the DACH region
  • Cross-sell and bundle consulting and clinical services where strategically appropriate
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key decision-makers across Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Medical Affairs, and Business Development
  • Lead the commercial process end-to-end for both CRO and CSI opportunities: prospecting, qualification, solution shaping, proposal development, pricing alignment, negotiation, and closing
  • Coordinate closely with CSI and Clinical Operations teams to ensure competitive, high-quality, and integrated service proposals
  • Maintain structured pipeline management and transparent reporting across both business areas
  • Monitor regulatory, clinical, and market developments within the DACH region to identify growth opportunities
  • Represent the Biofortis Group at relevant industry conferences and networking events
  • Travel within the DACH region as required
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  • Fluent business German and English required
  • 3+ years of Business Development or Sales experience within Pharma, CRO, consulting, or related life sciences services
  • Proven track record in acquiring new clients, ideally within a CRO or regulatory/strategic consulting environment
  • Solid understanding of clinical development processes (including ICH-GCP) and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with in the DACH market strongly preferred
  • Ability to position and sell complex, cross-functional service portfolios
  • Strong commercial drive, ownership mentality, and structured, proactive working style
