Payroll is Personio’s #1 strategic priority and growth driver. This role will be instrumental in delivering our ambitious growth objectives for this product in Germany and other key European markets.

As a (Senior) Business Operations Manager (f/m/x) you will join our Payroll Business Operations team, reporting to the Payroll’s Business Operations Lead, who reports into the Revenue Operations Team at Personio.

This role will play a key role in laying and improving the foundations for the Payroll across Personio’ s cross-functional Teams, encompassing Product, Operations, Sales, Legal and Marketing. Additionally, you will support Payroll's Business Operations Lead in establishing an operational rhythm to drive collaboration and accountability in our fast-paced execution environment.

Here is a taste of what you will be doing

Define, Run and improve business performance processes - Manage the reporting and tracking of Payroll and its key initiatives processes and performance by developing a comprehensive dashboard with key OKRs and operating metrics, primarily focused on customer funnels.

Develop mechanisms to facilitate decision-making, promote accountability, and monitor progress across critical business initiatives.

Deliver operational projects - Steer cross-functional teams to deliver strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Data analytics and business intelligence - Perform analyses, derive insights, and define resulting actions for topic areas such as budget planning, partnership strategies, or lead generation activities.

Stakeholder Management - Work with and positively influence cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations.

Executive communication - Develop dashboards, presentations, and documentation to communicate results in a succinct, easy-to-understand manner to all levels of the organization.

Co-pilot the business - Always think two steps ahead to identify gaps and deliver operational improvements that will enable us to continue scaling exponentially.

Sought character traits and expectations

You are well-versed in ambiguous and constantly changing business environments.

Front-line experience in go-to-market roles is a strong plus, ideally sales, partnerships or channel management

Execution focus - Instead of just advising, you like to own and drive things yourself. You don’t rest until the rubber hits the road

Project Management - You know how to plan, manage and steer projects to ensure high quality deliverables and impact

Business analytics and visualization - You love data and enjoy building analyses and dashboards, using GSheets/Excel and Powerpoint. Advanced skills like SQL, Tableau, Python are a plus.

Demonstrated experience working, collaborating and communicating exceptionally well with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams

B2B SaaS sales processes and tools:
Knowledge of key SaaS metrics and experience with CRM software, i.e. Salesforce
