ESG Auditor in Germany

We are looking for an experienced ESG Auditor based in Germany to conduct social and environmental audits for global supply chain partners. This freelance position requires a dual capacity to handle both SLCP verifications and environmental assessments according to Higg FEM and RBA standards. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in German labor laws and environmental regulations, and bring a proactive approach to responsible business practices.

• Conduct Social Compliance Audits: Perform on-site SLCP verifications, including document reviews, stakeholder interviews, and facility walkthroughs.
• Execute Environmental Audits: Carry out assessments following Higg FEM and RBA environmental modules with a focus on chemical management, energy use, water, and waste systems.
• Report Writing: Draft detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with facility management and workers to ensure accurate information is collected and feedback is delivered.
• Ensure Compliance: Follow SLCP and ISO 14001 protocols, industry standards, and ethical guidelines during all verification processes.

• Valid APSCA CSCA certification
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification
• Qualified for Higg FEM and RBA Environmental modules
• SLCP experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of local labor/environmental laws

• Strong reporting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication
• Ability to manage audits independently
