Job Title: Business Development Manager – EV Battery Value Chain
Location: South Korea – Any City (Extensive travel required across the country)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Work Authorisation Requirement: South Korean Citizens only
Role
Summary:
We are working with a global leader in advanced battery materials to recruit a Business Development Manager focused on commercial growth within the EV and battery value chain.
This is a high-impact role for a technically astute sales professional who understands the EV ecosystem, can build strong client relationships, and act as a strategic link between customer needs and product development.
Responsibilities- Lead commercial initiatives across South Korea in the battery materials and EV value chain
- Drive B2B business development targeting OEMs, cell manufacturers, pack integrators, and other key stakeholders
- Build and manage a robust pipeline from initial outreach to successful deal closure
- Translate technical product knowledge into clear customer value propositions
- Act as a conduit between customers and internal teams (R&D, product, leadership)
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and grow accounts
- Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and technical forums
- Support the validation and onboarding of new products with customers
- Help position the company as a thought leader in the next-gen battery materials space
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or a similar technical discipline
- 7–10 years of B2B sales and business development experience in a technical or industrial domain
- Demonstrated experience within the battery value chain and EV ecosystem
- Solid understanding of battery material applications and production processes
- Skilled in strategic planning, market expansion, and customer acquisition
- Proven stakeholder engagement and long-term relationship building
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Stable employment history with at least 2 years in recent roles
- Willingness to travel extensively across South Korea
- Reports to:
Director / Business Unit Head - Bonus and benefits are provided according to local standards
- Employment agreement directly with the company (compliance support provided)
