Datacolor is actively seeking a talented Print & Packaging Product Manager to join our global workforce.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our Print & Packaging portfolio. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our offerings in packaging substrates, printing technologies, and workflow solutions for industrial and commercial clients. You will be the strategic owner of the product line, driving innovation, customer‑centric development, and market expansion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Print & Packaging solutions.
- Align product development with customer needs, industry trends, and business goals.
- Lead portfolio decisions including new product introductions, enhancements, and retirements.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Engage with customers to understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs.
- Translate insights into actionable product requirements and business cases.
- Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post‑launch support.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Define KPIs and monitor product performance, driving continuous improvement.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure successful commercialization.
- Develop training materials and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Communicate product vision and updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Stay current with innovations in printing technologies, sustainable packaging, and regulatory standards.
- Advocate for digitization and automation in packaging workflows.
- Support integration of color management and quality control tools into packaging solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or STEM‑related technical discipline.
- Minimum 7‑10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Program Management or Product Applications Support related to Print & Packaging.
- Completed Product Management certifications or coursework from an accredited institution.
- Experience in spectrophometers, technical measuring instruments, and/or industrial products used in laboratories, production, or research highly desired.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes (flexo, offset, digital), and sustainability trends.
- Deep experience with workflows in color management across one or more industries (textile, paint and coatings, plastics, automotive, print and packaging) highly desired.
- Six Sigma certification:
Green Belt or Black Belt highly desired. - Willingness to travel (15‑25%) to customer sites and production facilities.
- Life Cycle Management – Success in leading, launching, and maintaining technical products through the stage‑gate process across R&D, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
- Customer and Market Knowledge – Ability to analyze customer, market, and technical product requirements and identify value‑added product, service, or market opportunities; willing to travel to customer sites.
