Accounting Manager

We are currently seeking a Species Accounting Manager I to join our team in Fort Recovery.

The primary goal of this position is the operation and supervisory control of the species accounting function and related accounting staff through utilization and application of accounting methods and principals, accurate and timely reporting and striving for overall departmental excellence.

Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Commensurate with experience

Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

• Assist in preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements including but not limited to: journal entries, balancing accounts, and summarizing details
• Coordinate all general production accounting functions related to Chicken, Turkey and Swine Production areas
• Supervise office personnel and have a basic knowledge of team member workloads and related functions
• Work closely with divisional accounting managers to coordinate all intercompany related accounting functions between divisions
• Provide analysis of financial results and point out strengths and weaknesses in results to respective managers
• Work closely with production management to maximize product and process profitability
• Work with production managers to create a budget for all species related departmentals

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. Three years’ experience in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have previous supervisory experience.
• Strong judgement and decision-making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong human relation and organizational skills
• This position must be acquainted and proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
