Senior Accountant - Global Finance & Tax; Poland

As aSenior Accountantyou will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The primary duties will involve managing accounting processes, financial reporting (including preparing financial statements), tax filing, and ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting for the subsidiary in accordance with local accounting and tax regulations.
• Prepare and approve financial statements, balance sheets, income statements.
• Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.
• Collaborate with external auditors and prepare documentation for audits.
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, CIT, other mandatory reports).
• Handle intercompany transactions and consolidation between subsidiaries in different regions.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial and operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll requirements.

Your Profile

• Min. 3years of experience in Senior GL Accountant role.
• Ability to work individually, without direct supervision and in a distributed, international environment.
• Background in international or cross-border operations.
• Practical and proven skills in calculating tax (VAT, CIT), preparing financial statements and account reconcialition.
• Fluent in German,English and Polish, both written and spoken.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of USGAAP and experience with implementations of shared service projects would be an asset.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proactive mindset and readiness to work in an international team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• In-depth knowledge of accounting, tax regulations, payroll and employer obligations in Germany.
