Senior Accounting & Finance Associate; f​/m​/d

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a structured and reliable professional to join our Finance team with a strong focus on operational accounting. In this role, you will be deeply involved in day-to-day accounting while also working at the intersection of Accounting, IT, Operations, and Controlling. You will have the opportunity to continuously expand your skill set, for example into system integrations, backend and automation topics, reporting, analysis, and controlling.

• Posting and coding of vendor (accounts payable) invoices, including review, reconciliation, and preparation for payment
• Preparation of customer (accounts receivable) invoices (domestic & international), ideally using SAP W40 / SAP FI
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings (HGB)
• Accruals, deferrals, and provisions, ensuring proper period allocation
• Fixed asset accounting (additions, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations)
• Intercompany reconciliations, support with consolidation and review of financial statements
• Ongoing GL account reconciliations and clarification of booking differences
• Close cooperation with external accounting partners in Germany and abroad
• Contribution to accounting-related IT and system topics, e.g. automation, interfaces, backend workflows, or booking logic
• Gradual involvement in controlling-related tasks, such as analyses, reporting, and management dashboards (depending on interest and development goals)
• Support in tax-related topics, e.g. VAT classification and accounting process alignment

• Completed commercial training, accounting qualification, or degree in Finance / Accounting (advantageous but not mandatory)
• Several years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
• Experience with monthly closings, accruals, and ideally fixed assets
• Experience with SAP FI / SAP W40 is a plus, but not required
• Interest in systems, processes, and automation within an accounting environment
• Solid Excel skills
• Structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style
• Very good English skills;
  German is a strong plus
