The Accounting Specialist position reports to the Senior Director Controller and is responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger while adhering to company policies, guidelines and standards.

- Accounts receivable cash receipts applications and accounts receivable reporting including work in process reporting
- Assist in vendor set up and maintenance and follow up
- Assist in fiscal period close activity and reporting for SOX controls
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while proactively communicating with field and corporate staff regarding questions, concerns, missing information or variances
- Compile and quality control information for internal and external auditors as required
- Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
- Understanding of GAAP and SOX controls
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and how it relates to financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4 Hana preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications
- Successful experience working alone in a remote environment
- Must be self‑motivated and have excellent communication and writing skills
- A high acumen for detail and accuracy
- Three years of accounting experience
- Remote or hybrid work environment
- Standard business hours with overtime as necessary
- Ability to travel to remote locations as necessary
