Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist position reports to the Senior Director Controller and is responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger while adhering to company policies, guidelines and standards.

• Accounts receivable cash receipts applications and accounts receivable reporting including work in process reporting
• Assist in vendor set up and maintenance and follow up
• Assist in fiscal period close activity and reporting for SOX controls
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while proactively communicating with field and corporate staff regarding questions, concerns, missing information or variances
• Compile and quality control information for internal and external auditors as required
• Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
• Understanding of GAAP and SOX controls
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and how it relates to financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4 Hana preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications
• Successful experience working alone in a remote environment
• Must be self‑motivated and have excellent communication and writing skills
• A high acumen for detail and accuracy
• Three years of accounting experience

• Remote or hybrid work environment
• Standard business hours with overtime as necessary
• Ability to travel to remote locations as necessary
