Manufacturing Engineer, Material Handler
Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products that help keep people safe. Originally focused on the underground coal mining industry, Matrix has expanded into new industrial markets in the United States and globally.
Responsibilities- Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Source materials and supplies required for manufacturing as needed.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, billing, or quality.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain product and service details, including pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Expedite special orders and manage urgent procurement needs.
- Investigate and resolve purchase order discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure defective inventory and returns are processed efficiently.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Support compliance with ISO/IEC 80079-34 standards and company quality initiatives.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with supervisors, colleagues, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Working conditions will primarily be in an office environment with occasional work in a warehouse setting.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, or crouch. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
