The ready‑mix concrete plant maintenance role maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots the plant’s mechanical systems and equipment. The position works closely with a team of coworkers and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Report any problems to the manager.
- Follow directions of the manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project.
- Repair all components involved in ready‑mix processing equipment.
- Maintain and operate the field service truck.
- Follow proper lockout / tag out procedures.
- Work on projects with the company maintenance crew and contractors.
- Provide basic tools for welding and fabrication/hand tools for millwright work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate- Must be able to work weekends.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Pass a pre‑employment "Fit for Work" physical.
- Able to present valid documentation to meet I‑9 employment eligibility verification requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
- Arrive for work promptly at the assigned start time.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Be able to work overtime when required.
- Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years’ related experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
Language Skills
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
