Salary – Hourly Pay Rate $11.75.
The Climbing Wall Attendant will maintain a high level of safety, teach proper belay and tie‑in techniques, handle card transactions for gear rental, day passes, and retail sales, and perform basic wall maintenance and cleaning. The position reports to the Coordinator, Outdoor Program, and requires Monday‑Friday evenings.
Responsibilities- Maintain safety standards on the climbing wall.
- Instruct participants in proper belay and tie‑in techniques.
- Process card transactions for gear rental, day passes, and retail sales.
- Perform basic wall maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Enforce all Outdoor Program Technical Training Center policies and rules.
- Carry out proper check‑in and check‑out procedures for equipment and day passes.
- Assist with background checks and other administrative tasks.
- Students must be a federal work‑study awardee; provide documentation.
- CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required prior to work.
- Enforce policies and rules of the Outdoor Program Technical Training Center.
- Knowledge of check‑in/check‑out procedures, including day pass sales and equipment handling.
- Experience supervising services and programs of the Weber Rocks Climbing Wall.
- Knowledge of day pass sales and equipment handling procedures.
- Background check passed.
