Challenger Pallet is looking for a dependable Night Shift Lead / Forklift Driver to oversee a small crew operating a pallet nailing machine and performing other production tasks. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working independently, keeping production on track, and leading by example.

Position Overview

The Night Shift Lead works with a small team to safely and efficiently produce pallets during evening operations. This role includes operating a forklift, supporting the nailing machine, and serving as the primary point of responsibility on shift.

Schedule

• Night shift 3:30 - 8:00 PM

• Part-time (potentially becoming Full-Time as demand grows)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small production crew on night shift

• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished pallets

• Assist with and monitor pallet nailing machine operations

• Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are met

• Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate issues to management

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Oversee all operations during the evening shift

• Report to Plant Manager daily.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required (certification preferred)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required

• Prior manufacturing, pallet, or lumber industry experience strongly preferred

• Leadership or lead experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety

• Able to lift, stack, and work in a physical production environment
