The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION MANAGER (FLIGHT CHIEF) NH-1601-03 to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC) at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

Roster may be used to fill vacancies complex wide for the next 90 days. This position will be used to fill multiple shifts (day, swing and grave). Salary Range: $89,508-$138,370 yearly. Responsibilities
  • The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 2nd level (or higher) supervisory and managerial authorities.
  • Directs work activities through subordinate supervisors/leads with responsibility for providing advice, accountability, and expertise to higher management and/or senior leadership on a continuous basis.
  • Exercises control over the organizational element by providing direction, planning, and leadership for assigned subordinate personnel.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & maintain Security clearance
  • This may be a designated Drug Testing Position
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
  • The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or compensatory hours.

  • Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a medium-to-large organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
  • Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
